New To Vista
Welcome to Vista Community Church :: a faith community focused on transformation. We
try, at a very practical level, to live at the intersection of Jesus and real life. We believe that Jesus Christ is who He is and that by following Him, in community, we will be transformed and can thus transform our world. As a church, we focus on four key areas: Missions, Sundays, Giving and Groups.
At Vista, our focus is on equipping the church to be the church. You won’t find a lot of programs or corporate initiatives, rather a community of believers who take Jesus to the world, the community and our neighborhoods. God has called us, empowered us, and commissioned us
to partner with Him as He carries out His mission here on earth. Because of that, we believe that God has called Vista to be a faith community that is: Worshipful, Relational, Missional.
Worshipful - We are primarily called to be a people who worship the Lord “with our heart, soul, mind and strength.” We seek to love Him first and by our life and habits demonstrate our heart’s allegiance.
Relational - We are created to be in community and to “love our neighbor as ourselves.” We seek to live out our faith with others in a way that helps improve the lives of those around us
Missional - We are to be a people who give away what we have been given, to bless others because we have been blessed. We seek to follow God in His mission of bringing the transformational message of life to the world.

History
Vista began as a “church plant” out of Heritage Christian Church in Westerville, Ohio. The concept originated as we considered what God wanted us to do with the unprecedented growth at Heritage – it seemed as though we should do as we’ve taught our children – share. Additionally, there were quite a few folks from the northwest side of town that were making their way across town to attend Heritage. It seemed to make sense that we might start a gathering of folks in their own neck of the woods. We started with a group of nearly a hundred from Heritage, but our first service (Jan 21, 2007) had over 200 in attendance. Those came mostly as a result of the personal connections the Vista team had here in town. In October, 2011, a group of folks led by Site Pastor Brian Coffey, started our second service in Worthington. We are thrilled at what God has done in and through us these past five years — we hope to be a blessing in the communities we serve!
Typical Sunday
WHAT A TYPICAL SUNDAY OFFERS
We are a missional church. We aspire to make everything about the church missional. Even our Sunday service is a missional tool — our hope and desire is that Sunday services are a place where people can engage God in a way unique to their experience. A place that we can be inspired and transformed by God’s word, that we would find encouragement through community, that our generations can come together and support one another,
that everyone would find a space where they can continue taking steps towards Jesus and contributing to His work. The Church is God’s idea and creation. It is not intended to be a human’s creation. God did, however, choose to build the church with human beings.
Join us! Adults and children are welcome, but we also have a thriving Kids Community program, with child care including paid professionals and volunteer parents, and Bible teaching for children ages infant to eighth grade.
We gather to worship at the start of the service — in Worthington at 9:15 a.m., and Dublin at 10:30 a.m. (map & directions)– with contemporary worship songs, opening our hearts and minds to God’s Spirit and His Word. Pastor Mike, lead pastor, teaches a Biblically-focused, relevant lesson, in which we engage and learn together as a church family, taking notes and pressing in to what God is speaking through Him. Following the message, we continue our worship with song and conclude with fellowship in the lobby. When we head out of the church doors, the real missional, Kingdom work happens — being Jesus to our neighbors and to our world!
